The past two weeks we have been talking about being thirsty. Thirst is a powerful feeling--it is a signal to us that something is missing and that we should probably do something about it. But we can be thirsty for more than just water or that marvelous invention called Dr. Pepper!

Thirst means that we eagerly desire something, whether it is good or harmful to us. And the power of thirst is that we feel so strongly that we do something about it--we go after whatever we are thirsty for, whether drinking water, being liked or getting an Xbox.

There are many things that we thirst after (eagerly desire) that after we have a drink, we will thirst for them again or for something new. But Jesus said that He has water that will satisfy. It is found in getting to know Him.

Here's a chance to see and experience thirst (to eagerly desire something) and to put it into action.

This is a challenge to find something, sort of a treasure hunt. Some may not think that the treasure is worth the effort the time and that is OK. It's like someone asking if you want a drink and you aren't thirsty for it, so you say "no thank you." But some will be thirsty for this item, and will show that they eagerly desire it by following the clues and searching.

Here's what you need to do, if you are "thirsty" for a brand new MP3 player: (parents can help but not just give you answers) Note-The clues lead you from Territory Beyond next Sunday, so think of where to go FROM TB-that's the starting point.

Step 1: Look up verses. We will be needing to find a couple verses for our search. Use either the biblegateway search window below or you can go to biblegateway.com.

Step 2: At the top of the page there is a search bar next to a magnifying glass icon, type our verse address from this week there and click "go" : --If you need the verse address, check your take-home review card.

Step 7: It will open the verse you read with the verse just before and just after also. Find the sentence you read with the location clue. Now read the next sentence from the following verse and you will know what to do when you get to the location.

Step 8: Find this location next Sunday morning, March 7th 2010.
Happy Hunting!
Step 3: Read and Count. Read the Passage Results, make sure that the version you are using is New International Version)
Counting words, find the 7th and 14th words in the verse.

Step 4: Type these two words into the search bar at the top and click 'go'.

Step 5: Now two verses will come up, one is new and one is the verse we just looked at. Look at this new verse. There are three sentences in it. If you read the last sentence (3rd) you will find the directions to where you are to go at the church.

Step 6: Now click just below the verse, it will show the verse address, and the verse right before and after and be underlined, followed by the words, "(in Context)". Click the verses address.
